Riverhead defeated William Floyd 16-6 at the Pulaski Street sports complex yesterday.

It was an easy game for Riverhead, as once again John Ehlers was superb on face-offs.The offense was firing on all cylinders, with Conner Grauer scoring 5 goals, Matt Greaves with 3, and Chris Flood with 2, while six other players had one goal each. By the half it was 12-1.

The second half saw most of the bench players on the field, and they added another 4 goals to the score. It also saw an end-to-end dash by defenseman Rob Block, looking to stuff the net, but it sailed high over the crossbar.

Riverhead’s next home game is Thursday, May 11 against Huntington. Game time: 4:30 p.m.

The Waves improved to 7-4-0 in Division I, 9-4-0 overall o travels
