Robert A. Zappulla of Calverton died October 15, 2017 at the East End Hospice Kanas Center for Hospice Care. He was 76 years old.
He was born on Sept. 21, 1941 in Brooklyn, the son of Sebastian and Natalie Zappulla.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as a welding teacher at BOCES.
He is survived by his wife Maureen, his son James, his daughters Kelly Ann Young and Susan Ann Sfakiotakis, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will take place at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home, 406 E. Main St, Riverhead on Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be offered at St. Isidore R.C. Church on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 9:30 a.m.
