Who doesn’t love a parade — especially a parade on a warm summer night on the North Fork? Jamesport Fire Department’s annual parade last night lived up to expectations, delighting kids of all ages with fire trucks, marching bands, antique tractors and more.

The parade, held in conjunction with JFD’s annual bazaar, stepped off at Washington Avenue and proceeded down Main Road, finishing at Manor Lane. Marchers were greeted by hundreds of spectators lining the road to take int he sights and sounds.

Jamesport’s annual bazaar, featuring carnival rides and midway games, continues tonight through Saturday on the grounds of the George Young Community Center on South Jamesport Avenue.

The summer fun is capped off by a spectacular fireworks show Saturday night at 9.
