Suffolk Police set Oct. 20 vehicle auction

The Suffolk County Police Department will hold a vehicle auction on Saturday, Oct. 20 at its impound yard in Westhampton.

More than 120 lots will be auctioned including cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, vans and motorcycles, police said in a press release. All vehicles are sold “as is” and all sales are final.

There will be a preview of vehicles on Thursday, Oct. 18 and Friday, Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the impound yard.

Vehicles will also be available for preview for one hour prior to the start of the auction at 9 o’clock Saturday morning.

Registration is required in order to bid in the auction. Applicants can register during preview hours and on the day of the auction. Proper identification is required to register. To bid as a business, a state tax certificate must be produced.

The Suffolk County Police impound section is located at 100 Old Country Road, Westhampton.
