The Riverhead Blue Waves Suffolk County Division I championship field hockey team took home numerous awards from the Suffolk County Field Hockey Coaches Association’s annual awards dinner last night.

The Blue Waves took home a plaque commemorating their best finish in program history. The team was also named a 2018 scholar-athlete team.

Award winners feted last night at Villa Lombardi’s in Holbrook were:

Katie Goodale – All County and All Tournament
Angelina Graziano – All County Honorable Mention
Christy Falisi – All County Honorable Mention
Kayla Kielbasa – All County Honorable Mention
Vika Stapon – All County Honorable Mention Goalkeeper
Sarah Rempe – All Division and All Tournament
Kristy Troyan – All Division
Rease Coleman – Unsung Hero

Earlier in the day yesterday, the Blue Waves were recognized at the Suffolk County Legislature where each team member received certificates of achievement County Legislator Al Krupski.

Congratulations to the entire team on an outstanding season.
