BNB Bank was named the top SBA Lender on Long Island, in the recent U.S. Small Business Administration’s New York District Office report of results for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30.
BNB was ranked fourth among all SBA lenders in the SBA’s New York district, which includes Long Island, New York City and lower Hudson Valley.
With $48 million in approved loans to small businesses in 2018, BNB continues to deliver on its commitment to provide credit for small businesses that fall outside regular loan parameters.
“Throughout Long Island, SBA guaranteed $241.6 million in small business loans in FY 18. These loans supported the creation or retention of nearly 5,000 jobs. BNB Bank has been a great partner of the SBA in the agency’s efforts to help small businesses start, grow and expand throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties,” said Beth Goldberg, director of the New York District SBA Office.
“Small business is the backbone of the Long Island economy,” BNB president and CEO Kevin O’Connor said.
