Supervisor Laura Jens-Smith will host a “listening tour” with three town hall-style events this month in Aquebogue, Wading River and Riverhead.
The supervisor is hosting the events because she recognizes that residents are not always able to attend town board meetings or come to town hall, according to a FEb. 1 press release issued by the supervisor’s office.
The meetings will be “an opportunity for residents to discuss issued in their neighborhoods, questions and solve problems in our community,” according to the release.
The three town hall events are scheduled for 6 p.m. on:
Monday, Feb. 11 at the Riverhead Senior Center, 60 Shade Tree Lane, Aquebogue.
Tuesday, Feb. 12 at the Wading River Congregational Church, 2057 North Country Road, Wading River.
Wednesday, Feb. 13 at the Riverhead Free Library, 330 Court Street, Riverhead.
