Hallockville Museum Farm will offer volunteer opportunities throughout the spring to help prepare the grounds and assist during events.
Spring cleaning help is needed Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to rake flower beds and tidy outdoor spaces. Please bring work gloves and rakes and dress for weather. Heavy rain moves the cleanup to April 28.
Volunteers are also needed for the horseradish festival Saturday, May 4, to assist with collecting admissions, promoting the farm at a Hallockville table, parking, the gift shop, setup/cleanup and more. The rain date for this event is May 5.
Additional assistance is needed Saturday-Sunday, May 18-19 for the 10th annual Long Island Fleece and Fiber Fair to help collect admissions, promote the farm at a Hallockville table, sell raffle tickets, assist with parking, work in the bake or gift shop and setup/cleanup. Shifts are available either day from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
