The New York State Public High School Athletic Association has recognized Riverhead High School as a 2018-2019 Scholar-Athlete School of Excellence.
To earn this distinction, 75 percent of the school’s 19 varsity teams were required to earn scholar-athlete team recognition during the 2018-2019 school year. To become a scholar-athlete team, a team must hold an overall GPA above 90.
Riverhead is one of 135 schools across New York State to earn the Scholar-Athlete School of Excellence designation.
