A blood drive will be held on Friday, Aug. 13 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Tanger Outlets in Riverhead hosted by Senator Anthony Palumbo.

All donors at the blood drive will receive a box of Girl Scout cookies as a thanks for the contribution. Appointments can be made online or by calling (800)933-2566.

“I am once again teaming up with the New York Blood Center to host a community blood drive in Riverhead to help bolster the region’s blood supply,” said Palumbo. “I urge residents to sign up for this event and make an important donation to help those in their time of need.”

COVID-19 protocols require unvaccinated donors to wear a face mask or covering. All participants will have their temperature taken and must have been symptom-free for the last 14 days. If a potential donor has had COVID-19 symptoms, tested positive or are under self-quarantine restrictions then they may not donate.
