Students from Riley Avenue Elementary School participated in a variety of activities as part of the weeklong Great Kindness Challenge.
Some of the activities included themed days, quotes of the day and activities focused on spreading kindness throughout the school community.
Members of the fourth grade student council, with their advisor Melissa Haupt, went class-to-class to teach about community circles. The student presenters read the book “The Circles All Around Us” by Brad Montague to each class. They then assisted the classroom students with learning the different levels of community circles such as family, friends, extended family and community.
