The Town of Riverhead will distribute 1,200 free rapid COVID-19 test kits to residents on Tuesday.
Test kits are being distributed at the Town Hall reception desk at 200 Howell Avenue and at the Riverhead Senior Center at 60 Shade Tree Lane in Aquebogue from 12-4 p.m.. There are two tests per kit. Tests were provided by Suffolk County, according to a press release from the Town Supervisor’s Office.
The number of COVID-19 cases have decreased in the last few weeks, with the weekly test positivity rate currently sitting at 2.8% in Suffolk County and 2.5% statewide.
