Donate your unwanted jeans and other denim clothes to the East End Arts Art Gallery from Friday, Feb. 18 through Friday March 4.
The donated denim will be turned into things such as rugs, tapestries and other art projects by fiber artist Sherry Davis. She will be at the art gallery on Friday, Feb. 18 to collect donations, answer questions and discuss her work.
“I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to work with East End Arts and to offer my community the opportunity to upcycle their beloved old jeans,” said Davis. “And I hope to have an opportunity in the future to exhibit what I create with what may have otherwise gone into the waste stream.”
Donations will be accepted during the “Dan’s Reimagined” exhibition hours on Thursdays from 12 to 5 p.m., Fridays from 2 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 12 to 5 p.m.
