Aquebogue Elementary School fourth grader Selvin Berganza worked with art teacher Maureen Ahern to teach origami to a kindergarten class.
“It was so powerful for the younger students to learn from one of our fourth graders,” said Ahern.
Berganza walked the students through a step-by-step process to fold the paper into a boat. Then Berganza walked around the class to ensure all the students were successful and advised every student to practice more if they want to grow.
