The Riverhead Faculty and Community Theatre will present the musical comedy, The Addams Family, this weekend.

Performances are Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Riverhead High School auditorium. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online and cost $20 for adults and $15 for students. The show runs roughly two hours and 30 minutes with a 15 minute intermission. The show includes the use of strobe lights.

The musical is based on the fictional family created by cartoonist Charles Addams that originally appeared in single panel cartoons in 1938, and have since been adapted to other media, most notably to television and film.

The musical debuted on Broadway in 2010 and includes music and lyrics by composer Andrew Lippa with a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice.

RFCT’s production stars Justin D. Harris as Gomez, Nancy DiGirolamo as Morticia, Alissa Dabrowski as Wednesday, Lon Shomer as Uncle Fester, John Wiesman as Pugsley, Alek Lewis as Lucas, Manning Dandridge as Mal, Alyssa Kelly as Alice, Linda Aydinian as Grandmama and Richard Browning as Lurch. 

The show is directed by Alan Stewart, choreographed by Alyssa Kelly and produced by Manning Dandridge and Michael Horn.
