Wesley Dean Ackley of Baiting Hollow died Jan. 24, 2023. He was 27 years old.
He was born on May 22, 1995, to Shawn and Christine Ackley. After Wes graduated from Riverhead High School he went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from New York City College of Technology in human services and then worked for Acacia Health Network in Brooklyn.
He was an avid and passionate skateboarder and a strong advocate for the Riverhead Skate Park. He had a passion that never wavered. His kind heart and strength will live on in our memory forever, his family said.
He is survived by his parents and his brother Jake.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday Jan. 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Alexander-Rothwell Funeral Home, 6447 Route 25A in Wading River.
A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Jan. 30 at 11 a.m.
