The second annual North Fork Pride Parade and Festival kicks off on Main Street in the Village of Greenport this Saturday.

The parade starts at noon on Main Street and ends on Front Street, where it will be followed by a festival from 1 to 4 p.m. in Mitchell Park and a tea dance at the GDC Roller Skate Rink at 5 p.m.

The event is organized by the LGBT Network, a nonprofit organization that provides services and programs to LGBT people in Long Island and Queens. You can register to march in the parade on the North Fork Pride website

A kickoff party for the event will be held at Little Fish in Southold on Thursday starting at 8 p.m.. The pre-party will be held on Friday at 6 p.m. at the American Beech hotel in Greenport. An after-party for the parade will be held on Sunday at the Greenporter hotel from 2-5 p.m.. More details can be found on the North Fork Pride website.

The grand marshals of this year’s parade are Southold attorney and entrepreneur Brent Pelton; North Fork Pride fundraising organizer Colleen Stellato; Southold Anti-Bias Task Force member and Democratic Committee chair Sandra Benedetto; and Southold resident and North Fork Pride organizing volunteer Sarah McNaughton Hoffman.
