Jessica Fitzpatrick of Calverton died on Feb. 6, 2025, in Calverton. She was 77 years old.
Born on Nov. 13, 1947, in Brooklyn to Harry and Joann (Waxman) Buchman, she attended Jamaica High School, Cornell University and Hofstra University, and Queens College, where she earned a master’s degree. Jessica worked as an educational consultant. She was involved with the Sweet Adelines, East End Chapter, and performed in Melodies and Memories at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center. She also created Fighting Chance, a chorus for cancer patients. Her family said she loved singing, music, and reading.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick of Calverton; her son, Mike, of Floral Park; and her sister, Gail Buchman, of Florida.
A private funeral service and cremation will be held, with interment at a later date at Pinelawn Memorial Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the American Cancer Society.
