A 75-year-old Mattituck woman died following a motor vehicle accident this afternoon on Sound Avenue in Jamesport, Riverhead Town Police said in a press release this evening.
Police said a 2016 white Subaru traveling westbound on Sound Avenue left the roadway and struck two unoccupied vehicles parked in the lot of Lumber and Salt at 5570 Sound Avenue at approximately 3:18 p.m.
The operator of the Subaru, Victoria Moller, 75, of Mattituck was found unresponsive at the seen, police said.
She was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.
At this stage of the investigation, it appears a prior medical event may have contributed to the accident, police said.
