Mariela Enriquez Flores and Jose Ramirez of Riverhead welcomed their son Liam Ramirez-Enriquez to the world at 8:26 a.m. on New Year’s Day at Stony Brook University Hospital.
Liam, the first baby of 2026 born at Stony Brook University Hospital, tipped the scales at 6 pounds, 15 ounces.
Liam was delivered by Julia Xavier, MD, Dana Masand, MD, Diana Calero-Kunda, MD and Meaghan Maggio, RN.
“The purest love has just arrived with your little heartbeat Liam,” the parents said, according to a hospital press release issued Jan. 2.
Liam is the couple’s first child.
