A Manorville man was arrested Friday and charged with causing more than $400,000 in damage to Pine Hills Golf and Country Club during two incidents last year, Suffolk County police said.

The golf course, located at 2 Country Club Drive in Manorville, was damaged on Jan. 13 and Oct. 11, 2025, when someone drove a vehicle on the property, causing an estimated $416,500 in damage, according to a Suffolk County Police Department news release.

Following an investigation by Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers and Seventh Squad detectives, police arrested Joseph Manzella, 24, of 5182 Village Circle East in Manorville, at 2:17 p.m. Friday at 171 Dawn Drive in Shirley, police said.

Manzella was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal mischief, a felony, police said. He was being held at the Seventh Precinct and was scheduled to be arraigned Saturday, April 25, at First District Court in Central Islip.

Editor’s note: A criminal charge is an accusation. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
