American Legion Post 273 in Riverhead will host a family barbecue celebrating America’s 250th birthday on Sunday, Aug. 30 at the American Legion, 80 Hubbard Avenue, Riverhead. The event, hosted by the post’s auxiliary, includes a flag ceremony, music by Merrie, and Chinese auctions, a basket of cheer and a 50/50 raffle.
