Willie Martin, 12, took first place in the youth division of Riverhead Town Recreation Department’s 29th Annual Snapper Tournament Saturday on the Peconic Riverfront, landing =a 10 3/4-inch fish. Anderson Austin, 11, placed second with a 10 1/2-inch snapper, and Henry Boese, 11, took third with a 10 3/8-inch catch.

The tournament drew 110 participants, including 75 children and 35 adults, according to Colleen Eastwood of the Recreation Department .

In the adult division, Raul Quintana, Don Visek and Dwayne Eleazer Jr. finished first, second and third, respectively, each with a 10-inch snapper.

All winners were awarded a trophy and a fishing rod. The Montauk Surfcasters Association sponsored the tournament.
