Dorothy “Dottie” F. Pierzchanowski of Riverhead died Aug. 23, 2026, at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring, Florida. She was 95 years old.
Born in Riverhead, she lived and built a life there for many years. She was married to Felix Pierzchanowski for 66 years. A woman of deep faith, she was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the altar rosary society, and also served as secretary at St. Isidore Catholic Church, where she was a dedicated member of the parish community. Her family said she loved playing bingo and that she always wore a smile, offered kind words and was eager to help in any way she could.
She was predeceased by her husband, Felix. She is survived by her five children; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, at 10 a.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church.
