PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town Board of the Town of Riverhead adopted a local law amending Chapter 103, titled “TOWN OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES” of the Riverhead Town Code, at its regular meeting held on November 7, 2024.
The intent of the proposed legislation is to continue the custom and practice to hold biennial elections of its officers during odd number years and not render terms of office inconsistent with any such applicable provisions of Town Law §24, Town Law §24-a and local laws related to terms of office adopted consistent with Municipal Home Rule §10(1)(a)(1).
