Aquebogue woman charged with theft from mother’s estate pleads guilty to felony grand larceny charge
Carol Majeski, 58, was charged with stealing more than $330,000 from the estate following the sale of her deceased mother's home. Majeski, one of four children, was removed as executrix of the estate and ruled in contempt of court by the Surrogate, who had her arrested.

After being jailed by the Surrogate's Court for contempt last year, 57-year-old Aquebogue woman is indicted on second-degree grand larceny charge. She "improperly distributed to herself" more than $330,000 from the estate, the Surrogate Court ruled.
