The organization's founders, Ann Cotten-DeGrasse and her late husband Antonio will be honored with the Pink Pearl Community Service Award. Supporters Irwin Garsten and her late husband Irwin will receive the Pink Pearl Spirit Award.

Riverhead businessman Irwin Garsten died Feb. 7 in Florida at age 86.

At 86, Irwin Garsten is still a hands-on business owner. In an interview earlier this month, he reflected on what it takes to build a successful business, on giving back to the community, on Riverhead's past and its future.
