State to end mask mandate in hospitals, nursing homes Sunday, will follow CDC guidance keyed to COVID-19 community transmission levels
As long as a health care facility is located in a county where COVID-19 community transmission levels are not high, health care facilities may eliminate mask requirements, according to the new state guidance, which follows guidance already established by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

School board member Chris Dorr asked board members to write a letter of support for two Nassau County school districts suing to overturn the state's mask mandate in schools.
