Woolworth Revitalization developer plans indoor open market and eatery in another long-vacant Main Street building
Developer Michael Butler, who two years ago turned the long-vacant former Woolworth building into new storefronts and workforce housing, has innovative plans in the works for another derelict building in downtown Riverhead.
The former Woolworth building in downtown Riverhead was bustling with activity today as tenants moved into the 19 new apartments on the second floor.
Nineteen rental apartments, including studios, one- and two-bedroom units, are being offered at rents between $895 and $1,528 per month. The second floor apartments are located above Maximus Health Club, Goldberg's Bagels, and two currently empty storefronts, one of which has been leased to the Riverhead Flower Shop.
