The Salvadoran-American community is celebrating the canonization of St. Oscar Anulfo Romero, an archbishop martyred in 1980. Romero was saying Mass a cancer hospital when he was shot and killed. He had been a spiritual leader who worked for social justice and peace in the war-torn country.
