Peconic Pediatrics

“Diaper need” is the lack of a sufficient supply of diapers to keep a baby clean, dry and healthy. The supply can cost i$80 a month per baby, an expense not covered by food stamps or WIC. Going without can have serious health impacts for babies and economic consequences for families.

Peconic Pediatrics sets aside a day each year to invite community members to learn about safety, nutrition and health issues in a fun setting.

Suffolk County’s first breast milk collection site officially opened its doors at Peconic Pediatrics' Riverhead office, making it one of only two donation drop-off sites on Long Island.
