Riverhead Town reaches labor deal with police brass, providing 19% pay hike over 3 ½ years
Riverhead Town and the union representing Riverhead police brass reached a deal this week on a labor contract retroactive to the Jan. 1 and running through the end of 2026. The agreement provides for a total wage increase of 19% over a 3½ year period.

The five-year contract, retroactive to Jan. 1, 2016, provides members of the Riverhead Police Superior Officers Association with 2-percent per-year increases in base pay for the first four years covered by the deal and a 1.5 percent increase in year five.
