Hundreds of enthusiastic Riverhead students concluded their year of learning about the dangers of substance use and abuse during the 36th annual Riverhead Community Awareness Program "Say NO To Drugs" march this morning. 

The Riverhead CAP “Say No to Drugs” march returned to downtown Riverhead Friday morning after a two-year pandemic hiatus, welcomed back by perfect spring weather and hundreds of enthusiastic participants and spectators.

CAP's annual march against drugs, alcohol and tobacco will return this year after a two-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The march is set for Friday, June 10. Tijuana Fulford of the Butterfly Effect Project is this year's special guest and keynote speaker.

An enthusiastic crowd of hundreds of students, faculty, residents, police officers and elected officials marched Friday morning through downtown Riverhead with a clear, loud message: 'Say NO to Drugs.'
