The Rotary Club of Riverhead awarded scholarships totaling $105,500 to 15 college-bound Riverhead High School graduating seniors this year.

Riverhead High School’s senior class is fundraising for a new scholarship program created to help low-income graduates continue their studies.

The Greater Jamesport Civic Association is offering two scholarships of $1,000 each to two high school seniors graduating in 2024 who will attend a college level or equivalent program.

Founded in 2012 by Riverhead immigration attorney David Sperling, the Dream Foundation awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to immigrant students who can't otherwise access financial aid for college costs.
