Town hall meetings

Rep. Nick LaLota fielded eight questions from callers on hot topics including presidential actions, Ukraine/Russia, DOGE, potential cuts to Medicaid and Social Security, tariffs and immigration.

Rep. Nick LaLota claims he's held 20 town hall meetings since taking office. He includes appearances at various events, but no in-person town hall meetings open to the general public.

Aquebogue resident Ron Hariri had his comments cut short during a Riverhead Town Board budget hearing yesterday, after he criticized the budget and called the town supervisor "an absolute disgrace." The supervisor cut the meeting's video livestream and called for police to escort the speaker from the room.

Rep. Lee Zeldin is inviting constituents to a moderated “community forum” in Riverhead Sunday afternoon on the eastern campus of Suffolk County Community College.

The congressman has scheduled individual appointments, a telephone town hall meeting and mobile office hours during the congressional recess this week.
