Truth community church

The event, organized and hosted by Truth Community Church, featured photos with Santa, Christmas carols sung by the Riverhead Middle School show choir, an outdoor fire, and cookies, doughnuts, chips and hot chocolate to fend off the cold.

Truth Community Church, Flanders, Riverside and Northampton Community Association and Peconic Bay Power Squadron donated $1,500 to buy 104 turkeys, one for each child at Southampton Head Start.

Hope Day is back in Flanders on Saturday, June 2 with family fun, food and giveaways.

The event featured photos with Santa, a raffle, a performance by the Riverhead Middle School Show Choir—where they sang traditional Christmas carols—an outdoor fire, cookies and hot chocolate to fend off the cold.

Dozens of turkeys, gravy, and all the fixings and side dishes were collected by the Peconic Bay Power Squadron for the families of Head Start in Flanders.
