The man police say murdered a 27-year-old Greenport woman yesterday was arrested in Riverhead today, according to Suffolk County Police.

Police today arrested Jaime DeLeon-Tito, 23, on Osborn Avenue and charged him with second-degree murder in the strangulation death of Michelle Schiavoni, 27, in a home in Greenport.

Schiavoni was found dead in her home last night by Southold Town Police, according to a Suffolk County Police press release.

DeLeon-Tito awaits arraignment tomorrow in Southold Town Justice Court, police said.
