Visitors to the Alive on 25 festival filled the streets of downtown Riverhead last night, where there was plenty of food, music and fun for all ages up and down Main Street.

Steve Shauger, president of the Riverhead Business Improvement District Management Association, which organized the festival said he has been very pleased with how the events have developed this season, the festival’s second.

“It’s a great turnout tonight,” Shauger said. “The weather is perfect.”

There’s one more Alive on 25 installment this summer: next Thursday, Aug. 31, a planned season rain date. The very first event this year was canceled due to inclement weather.
