Riverhead defeated William Floyd 13-6 at the Pulaski Sports Complex yesterday afternoon.
 
The first half belonged to the Blue Waves as they scored at will with some nifty stick work, passing, and playmaking down low, taking a 10-2 lead into the half.  Floyd woke up in the third quarter, as Riverhead rested on the lead, sat back and let Floyd grab the opportunity to deposit four goals into the Riverhead cage with some quick passing down low. Going into the fourth quarter, with Riverhead up 13-6, Riverhead buckled down on defense, and held Floyd scoreless in the quarter.
 
Connor Batjer had four goals, Connor Kalmus two goals, Kamryn Gill two goals, Luke and Caleb Zuhoski, Dalton Lucas, Shane Coleman, Connor Grauer each had 1 goal. Riverhead’s next home game is Saturday, April 14 against Smithtown East at 2 p.m. Riverhead is 4-3 overall, and 3-2 in conference.
