Port Jeff pummeled McGann-Mercy 18-0 yesterday in Riverhead.
Mercy had a very tough outing against a more seasoned Port Jefferson squad. Mercy was able to break through midfield only a handful of times, but managed very few shots when down low.
Port Jeff scored at will in this one-sided event, but things got rough in the second half, as Mercy was frustrated, and took some reckless penalties.
McGann-Mercy’s next home game is Saturday, April 21 against Deer Park. Start time is 10 a.m.
