Five contenders are vying for the Democratic nomination to face Rep. Lee Zeldin in November in the race to represent New York’s First Congressional District.

Indivisible North Fork will host a candidate forum on Sunday, April 29 in the Peconic Room at Dark Horse Restaurant. The panel will be moderated by Angela DeVito. The candidates will answer curated questions about key issues confronting the district and country.

Candidates currently scheduled to participate include Kate Browning, Elaine DiMasi, Perry Gershon, David Pechefsky and Vivian Viloria-Fisher.

The Democratic primary election is scheduled for June 26. The winner will face incumbent Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-Shirley) in November.

Local residents can submit questions in advance of the event for possible inclusion in the forum. Click here to email a question for consideration.

In conjunction with the forum, Indivisible North Fork will also offer a voter registration opportunity for eligible New York residents who are not currently registered to vote.

The forum, which is free and open to the public, will take place from 2:30 to 5 p.m.

Complimentary light refreshments will be served.
