After a long winter, Riverhead could use a good spring cleaning — and to that end, the town is seeking volunteers to spruce up our neighborhoods.
The Town of Riverhead is calling on residents, families and neighbors to join the spring community clean-up this Saturday at 9 a.m.
Volunteers will meet at Town Hall, receive an assigned litter-patrol area and clean-up kits (gloves, safety vests, trash bags and litter grabbers). The town will also provide snacks and a T-shirt for all volunteers.
Interested residents, businesses, church and civic groups are also invited to join Riverhead’s new anti-litter committee.
For more information on being a part of Spring Clean-Up Day or the Anti-Litter Committee, call Karen at 631-727-3200 extension 253.
