A Riverhead business aims to start the holiday season right by ensuring a plentiful Thanksgiving for all.

A Thanksgiving giveaway of 100 turkeys and baskets filled with sides will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m at the Tyre Lodge in Riverside.

The event is organized by LIR Clothing, a local clothing company.

“Last year we had 50 turkeys and ran out in 20 to 30 minutes, so I got 100 this year,” said Anthony Harris, owner of LIR Clothing, “I want to give the enjoyment to people who don’t have the money or opportunity to.”

LIR Clothing has held toy drives and back-to-school events in previous years. Another toy drive will be hosted this year on Dec. 21.

Donations of canned goods, non-perishable boxed food, and volunteers for the event are welcome.

For more information or to donate contact Anthony Harris, (631) 875-9119. The Tyre Lodge is located at 200 Flanders Road, Riverside.
