Riverhead Supervisor Yvette Aguiar will be the guest of the Heart of Riverhead Civic Association at its meeting on Saturday at Riverhead Free Library. The meeting begins at 11 a.m.
The supervisor’s appearance is an opportunity billed by the civic as “a rare informal conversation” with Aguiar for the civic’s members and friends.
“Every Heart of Riverhead Civic Association monthly meeting includes an open topic time to explore any problems or concerns that impact our community and to search for solutions. For September, Ms. Aguiar has graciously accepted the invitation to be part of the conversation about those same and other topics,” the civic group said in a press release announcing the meeting. “This will be a great opportunity to share thoughts and be heard, to ask questions and get answers, to express opinions and get feedback, all outside of the formality of Town Hall.”

The Heart of Riverhead Civic Association was formed earlier this year to represent the residents of downtown Riverhead on the issues affecting their neighborhoods.
