Riverhead Town Police have arrested two people on felony robbery charges in connection with a knifepoint robbery on Griffing Avenue late last night.

Police said they were called for reported disturbance at 118 Griffing Avenue shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday.

The first arriving patrol units located a male victim who reported being robbed at knifepoint by a man and a woman who forcibly removed his cell phone and money, police said in a press release.

Police identified the suspects and subsequently arrested Kari Reid, 42, and Nicholas Berg, 37, both described by police as undomciled in the Riverhead area, according to the report.

Reid was charged with Robbery in the First Degree, a class B Felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a class A Misdemeanor, and possession of an open alcohol container in violation of the Riverhead Town Code, police said.

Berg was charged with Robbery in the First Degree, police said.

The defendants were held at the Riverhead Police Department for morning arraignment in Riverhead Justice Court.
