The Riverhead varsity girls basketball team fell to the Walt Whitman Wildcats Friday night, 51-21.
The Waves trailed in the first quarter and weren’t able to recover. Walt Whitman remains undefeated in league I, sitting at 7-0.
Riverhead, now 5-2, next travels to Lindenhurst for a non-league matchup on Monday, Jan. 6 at 4:30.
