Riverhead Police blotter: Week of Feb. 9, 2025

Riverhead Police reported arresting 16  people on 23 criminal charges between Sunday, Feb. 9 and Saturday, Feb. 15. Among the charges filed were two DWI charges, eight petit larceny charges, one grand larceny charge, three town code violation charges and seven arrests for outstanding warrants.   A total of 383 incidents were reported by Riverhead Town Police for the week.

Sunday, Feb. 9

No time or location reported, Micheal Breheny, 48, of Aquebogue, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

8:08 a.m. Property Lost or Stolen, 21st Street, Wading River.

10:02 a.m. Grand Larceny, 21st Street, Wading River.

11:07 a.m. Property Lost or Stolen, Gala Fresh Farms, Old Country Road, Riverhead.

12:47 p.m. Larceny, Target, 1150 Old Country Road, Riverhead.

1:53 p.m. Petit Larceny, Osborn Avenue, Riverhead. Incident documented.

3:45 p.m. Town Code Violation, Carpet Center, West Main Street, Riverhead. Yony Mauricio Arrostiquin Gamez, 24, of Riverhead, was arrested on an unspecified town code violation.

6:22 p.m. Petit Larceny, Target, Old Country Road, Riverhead. Yanira Ventura, 32, was was arrested on three petit larceny charges.

7:06 p.m. Grand Larceny, Tanger Outlets, 1770 West Main Street, Riverhead. A grand larceny was reported.

Monday, Feb. 10

3:30 p.m. Domestic Incident, Kimberly Court, Calverton.

5:42 p.m. Town Code Violation, LIRR – Riverhead Railroad Station, Railroad Avenue, Riverhead.

5:55 p.m. Disturbance, Osborn Avenue, Riverhead.

8:05 p.m. Arrest for Prior Reported Incident, Riverhead Town Police Department, 210 Howell Avenue, Riverhead. Jeffrey Gehrlein, 36, of Bay Shore, was arrested on two outstanding warrants.

8:37 p.m. Town Code Violation, Railroad Avenue, Riverhead. Verbal warning issued.

Tuesday, Feb. 11

11:34 a.m. Extreme Risk Protection Order Petition, Riverhead Town Police Department, Howell Avenue, Riverhead.

11:44 a.m. Warrant Investigation, Riverhead Police Department, 210 Howell Avenue, Riverhead. Tiffany Norris, 41, of Bay Shore, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

4:47 p.m. Town Code Violation, Long Island Rail Road Station, Railroad Avenue, Riverhead. Shane Garcia, 26, of Riverhead, was charged with an unspecified town code violation. A summons was issued.

7:49 p.m. Petit Larceny, Stop and Shop, 1615 Old Country Road, Calverton. A larceny was reported at the location.

8:42 p.m. Town Code Violation, Hamilton Avenue and Osborn Avenue, Riverhead. A person was warned of a town code violation.

No time or location reported. Christopher Sorto, 31, of Riverhead was charged with driving while intoxicated.

11:31 p.m. Arrest for Outstanding Warrant, Riverhead Town Police Department, Howell Avenue, Riverhead. Manuel Antonio Lemus Galeano, 29, of Speonk was arrested on an outstanding Riverhead Town Justice Court warrant. He was also charged with harassment.

Wednesday, Feb. 12

12:53 a.m. Arrest for Prior Reported Incident, Riverhead Town Police Department, Howell Avenue, Riverhead. Arrest made for an outstanding warrant.

12:35 p.m. Property Lost or Stolen, Dollar Tree, Old Country Road, Riverhead. A wallet was removed from a pocketbook by unknown persons.

3:34 p.m. Disturbance, Peconic Bay Medical Center Robert Entenmann Campus, West 2nd Street, Riverhead. A person panhandling for money was located in the area and advised to leave.

4:03 p.m. Town Code Violation, Riverhead Town Hall, West 2nd Street, Riverhead. Town code summons issued.

5:01 p.m. Disturbance, West Main Street, Riverhead. A person was reported to have trespassed.

Thursday, Feb. 13

12:07 a.m. Town Code Investigation, Nadel Drive, Riverhead. Town code referral form forwarded to Riverhead Town Code Enforcement.

12:26 p.m. Warrant Investigation, Riverhead Town Hall, Howell Avenue, Riverhead. Tamara Aiken, 44, of Riverhead, was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant.

2:31 p.m. Petit Larceny, Lowe’s, 1461 Old Country Road, Riverhead. Roy Jones Jr., 37, was arrested on a charge of petit larceny.

2:50 p.m. Petit Larceny, Stop and Shop, 1615 Old Country Road, Calverton.

6:05 p.m. Petit Larceny, Peconic Bay Medical Center, Heroes Way, Riverhead. A person removed a license plate from a vehicle in the parking lot.

6:30 p.m. Petit Larceny, Best Buy, 1440 Old Country Road, Riverhead. Roy Jones Jr., 37, was arrested on a charge of petit larceny.

11:01 p.m. Robbery, 1264 West Main Street, Riverhead. An uknown person stole an electric scooter.

Friday, Feb. 14

8:21 a.m. Arrest for Outstanding Warrant, Riverhead Police Department, 210 Howell Avenue, Riverhead. Dashaun Simmons, 38, of Central Islip, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

9:15 a.m. Petit Larceny, Target, 1150 Old Country Road, Riverhead. Miguel Luciano, 44, of Riverhead, was arrested on a charge of petit larceny.

2:38 p.m. Grand Larceny, Target, 1150 Old Country Road, Riverhead. Jennifer Desiderio, 54, of Wading River, was arrested on a charge og grand larceny.

3:06 p.m. Criminal Mischief, 1716 Old Country Road, Riverhead. Incident documented.

5:02 p.m. Suspicious Person, Phil’s Auto and Truck Repair, Northville Turnpike, Riverhead. Omar R. Chavac Bor, 20, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Saturday, Feb. 15

1:25 p.m. Disturbance involving an emotionally disturbed person, Community Housing Innovations, West Main Street, Riverhead.

4:09 p.m. Arrest for Prior Reported Incident, Tanger Outlets, 1770 West Main Street, Riverhead. Andre Carter, 229, of Brooklyn, was arrested for a prior petit larceny.

4:47 p.m. Town Code Violation, no location reported, Riverhead. Manuel A Lemus Galeano, 31, was arrested for an unspecified town code violation.
