The Roanoke Avenue Elementary School PTO hosted its first annual Community Day Saturday.
Families enjoyed games and activities, music and entertainment, food and ice cream at the day-long event, which organizers hope to grow in the coming years.
The aim of the event is to bring community members together, outdoors on a spring day to have family-friendly fun and get to know each other, organizer and Roanoke PTO President Karma Marshall said beforehand.
