Riverhead Police are investigating a loaded handgun found at Splish Splash in Calverton Wednesday afternoon.

Patrol officers were dispatched to Splish Splash Wednesday at approximately 5:59 p.m. after an employee discovered a loaded handgun, following a “disturbance involving several juveniles,” police said in a press release. 

The handgun was secured by patrol officers and recovered by detectives, who are actively investigating the incident to determine who possessed the recovered handgun, police said.
