Jamesport Fire Department held its annual tree lighting last night at the village green on Main Road and South Jamesport Avenue.
Children and adults alike sang songs of the season and enjoyed hot beverages before the tree was lit and Santa Claus arrived by fire truck. Santa and Mrs. Claus visited with children inside the George Young Community Center, listening to their Christmas wishes and posing for photos.
The annual event is a favorite in the Jamesport community and always draws a nice crowd no matter what the weather. Last night was no exception.
